FDA Autumn Cinema

As we wave goodbye to Summer, it’s easy to tell from the plummeting temperatures that we are most definitely in the midst of Autumn.

What better way to spend a drizzly Autumnal afternoon than at the cinema? To celebrate this both the Interactive and Production teams have joined forces to create the FDA Autumn Cinema Interactive Trailer.

Footloose Dance Tutorial Widget

footloosewidget

For the release of Footloose this week we have created the Tutorial Dance Widget.

Using footage of Kenny Wormald the tutorial teaches you all the moves from the iconic film.

The user can easily navigate through the different sections of the dance watching each section as many times as needed and then recapping the moves Kenny has demonstrated. So even a dance novice will have no excuse not to cutloose with this widget.

It’s a Wonderful Afterlife

“It’s a Wonderful Afterlife” is an irresistible romantic comedy which follows one mother’s quest to see her daughter happily married…even if it involves murder. It’s the latest from the director of the smash hit BEND IT LIKE BECKHAM and throughout production Picture Production Company (PPC) was on set to witness all the fun the cast and crew had bringing this film to life.

The film stars some of the most exciting talent currently working in British cinema including – Sally Hawkins (Happy Go-Lucky) Sendhill Ramamurthy (Heroes), Zoe Wannamaker (Harry Potter), Jimi Mistry (East is East) and Mark Addy (The Full Monty).

In addition to creating the Electronic Press Kit we also attended the red carpet premiere and created this report.

The Descent Part 2: New Blood, Old Wounds

THE DESCENT 2 is the eagerly awaited follow up to Neil Marshall’s hit horror flick, THE DESCENT.

Filming took place earlier this year at London’s Ealing studios and PPC production were invited onto set to film interviews and document the “making of”.

This film picks up immediately after the events depicted in THE DESCENT and from what we saw fans from the first film will not be disappointed.

Maximum Destruction: G.I JOE Style

According to legend, the Blues Brothers holds the record for the most amount of cars destroyed while making a movie…. that’s was until Stephen Sommers unleashed G.I Joe on the streets of Paris. In all, a grand total of 112 cars were crashed, smashed and hurled down Parisian streets in an amazing scene which climaxes with the toppling of the Eiffel tower.

PPC Production caught up with the director on a recent promotional tour to get the inside track on how and where he shot the scene. The following clip was filmed and edited in the same day and was pushed out to various internet portals worldwide within hours of completion.

Centurion

The only problem with getting “behind the scenes” access on a feature film is you have the wait so long to see to the finished product. On a project like Neil Marshall’s new action flick CENTURION, this can be torture.

While filming all the material for the press kit we witnessed some amazing action sequences featuring Michael Fassbender & Dominic West, some very daring special effects featuring rolling fire balls, many pitched battles, skillful horseplay and or course, best of all, Olga Kurylenko playing a Pict Warrior hellbent on bringing down an empire. I like.
